I enjoy photography, and I also enjoy taking my original shots and transforming them — through the use of various graphic programs — into something completely new.
When I saw today’s prompt, my only question was which of my many photo projects I should choose. As I browsed through files, I saw this beautiful, sunny-yellow work, titled Darkness into Light. I knew at once this would be the one I would use for today’s prompt.
The original photograph was taken in Salt Lake City. It’s a photograph of a black and white mural representing people of many different eras and nationalities coming together.
From this darkness, I created a new photo art work, adding a cheerful color, and turning the picture into a sun-like image. To me it symbolizes finding hope even in hard times, looking for the light even in the darkest moments.
